JEFF PIPER
CO-OWNER
Jeff has a combined 20 years of experience in the fire service with the Golden Valley Fire Department (where he is a Captain) and Robbinsdale Fire Department. With over 20 years of experience in contracting and the building trades, Jeff ensures our high standards of work are achieved across every job. When he’s not busy putting out fires and making clients happy – Jeff loves to spend time with his wife Emily and their five children.
CURTIS SMITH
CO-OWNER
Curtis has spent 20 years in the fire service, mostly with the Golden Valley Fire Department. He oversees the business side of the Firefighter Handyman ensuring clients are happy with the work and firefighters are getting all they need to be successful. When Curtis isn’t answering a phone, replying to a text, knee-deep in the software or going on estimates, he’s spending time with his wife Amy, his two kids and Ninja & Pickles.
Steve ROZEK
CEO
Steve is an experienced business development executive, helping small business owners establish strong, successful companies. As CEO, Steve's focus is building a foundation that enables Firefighter Handyman to support our Firefighters and the communities they serve, while delighting customers with exceptional service. Steve and his wife Wanda enjoy spending time with friends and family at their cabin in Crosslake.

Our founding partners have a combined 50+ years in the fire service and created Firefighter Handyman as another way to give back to the communities they serve, and to give firefighters a way to supplement their income and use their invaluable skills.

It’s our mission to give local firefighters a way to supplement their income, have flexible hours and use their skills to further benefit the community and their family.
Firefighter Handyman supports our crew members with bonding and insurance, project management with the customer, and giving back to the fire service. Firefighter Handyman donates five percent of our annual net income to organizations that support firefighters. And don’t let “handyman” fool you, we also welcome Handywomen to be part of our crew!
